Biography

Paul McGoldrick is a contemporary artist working primarily in drawing and painting. His practice is focused on freedom, expression and the process of making.

His work explores mark-making, texture, colour and the physical qualities of materials. He is interested in allowing the work to develop through experimentation, gesture and repetition, rather than working towards a fixed outcome.

McGoldrick studied Fine Art at Manchester Metropolitan University, completing a BA, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art, London.

Based in the south of France, he continues to develop a practice centred on drawing and painting.
